Waive Student Health Insurance in Workday
Description
This guide is designed to help eligible students submit a waiver for the RISD student health insurance plan and to provide key information about RISD's coverage. All RISD students are required to have health insurance. Students beginning their studies in the summer will be charged for summer health insurance along with their summer tuition. The fee for the full academic year is billed in the fall.
However, students who have a comparable, comprehensive U.S.-based health insurance plan that provides coverage while attending RISD may waive the RISD plan by the published deadlines. Waivers must be submitted annually. Students starting in the summer must submit two waivers: one for the summer plan by June 30, and one for the academic year plan by August 1.
