For Students: View My Academic Progress Toward Graduation
Tracking progress toward graduation
As a student, you must meet various requirements to graduate.
The Academic Progress Report in Workday shows all your requirements specific to you and your major. The report is organized by the three main requirement areas: First-Year Foundation classes; Liberal Arts classes and Major-specific classes.
If you want to know when you should take each class, refer to the Academic Catalog corresponding to the year you entered RISD. You can find the Catalogs at risd.edu/catalogs Locate your major and review the chart of classes organized by semester and year.

Important: The Academic Progress Report updates overnight, so classes you register for today won't be properly accounted for until tomorrow.
Log in to Workday at workday.risd.edu
Click Menu > Academics
Under Planning & Advising, click View My Academic Progress

Go to the bottom of the page. In the lower right, ensure in Items per Page All is selected so you see all your requirements on one page.

Go back to the top of the page and look next to Unused Registrations. If you see a number other than 0, click the number as this means you have classes that don't count toward any graduation requirement. This might occur if you failed the class or received an incomplete. If you see a class labeled as In Excess, it means that class that fulfills a requirement you have already met with other classes. Taking classes you don't need could delay your graduation and lead to additional costs.
Important: Classes you registered for today appear here until the report updates overnight.

Review requirements you have remaining by looking at the Remaining column. Any requirement outstanding will show how many more credits or courses you need to complete the requirement after factoring in courses you're presently registered for now or in the future. Put another way, if you keep your class schedule as is and pass all your classes, these are your remaining requirements to graduate.
