RISD is transitioning to Zoom Phone! Starting this Summer, Information Technology Services (ITS) will begin a phased deployment of the Zoom Phone system, including new desk phones. With Zoom Phone you can make calls from a desk phone, from the Zoom desktop client on a computer or from the Zoom app on a mobile phone! We will now have enhanced access to contacts, call history, voicemail transcription and additional ways to check voicemail.
What do I need to do?
First, if you haven't done so already, visit risd.zoom.us and sign in with your RISD username and password. Please note that we cannot assign a Zoom telephone account until this step is completed.
Next, sometime over the next few weeks you’ll receive a notification that your extension has been moved over to Zoom Phone. At that time we will provide step-by-step instructions on how to set your voicemail pin, voicemail greeting, working hours, and more.
