Zoom Meeting vs Zoom Webinar: What is the difference?
- Zoom Meetings are designed to be a collaborative event with all participants being able to screen share, turn on their video and audio, and see who else is in attendance. Zoom meetings allow 1-300 participants.- Zoom Webinars are designed so that the host and any designated panelists can share their video, audio and screen. Webinars allow view-only attendees. They have the ability to interact via Q&A, chat, and answering polling questions. Zoom webinar can host up to 1000 participants. Malicious attendees do not have a way to share their screen or speak in a webinar.

Preliminary support - Prior to the event, the Web license is assigned to an individual to host the event. The host may request a 30 min training session with ITS to set up the webinar, share the event link, as well as review the basics on how to host an event.Event support - Technical support on the day of the event. M - F, 8 AM - 5 PM. Off-hour support can be discussed.Preliminary & Event Support - Both support prior to the event and technical support on the day of event.Full support - Media Resources create the event, share webinar/link with the department/person responsible for distributing the link and technical support on the day of the event. M - F, 8 AM - 5 PM. Off-hour support can be discussed.
