QLess - Appointment Scheduling and Queue Management
What is QLess?
QLess is a remote queuing and appointment scheduling app that RISD is using to manage queues and appointments to reduce crowding in lobbies and other high volume areas. Faculty, staff and students will use QLess to join queues or book appointments for several locations.

How does it work?
Remote Queuing: allows faculty, staff and students to get “in line” from home, dorm room, or their vehicle. They are told via text or app their wait time and when to arrive in the lobby.
Virtual callback via Zoom: join a queue remotely and receive a video conference on their mobile phone when someone can speak with them.
Flex-appointments: interactive appointments provide reminder texts and ability to cancel, tell us they are running late, or reschedule right from their phone, eliminating gathering in lobbies and no-shows decrease.
What locations are using QLess?
Areas using QLess as of September 21st include Mail Room, RISD and 3D Stores shopping and Art Suppliers Buyer via Zoom, Card Services, and OISS for advising and document exchange, and Media Resources for equipment pick up and returns.
In the coming weeks queuing will open at The Met, Student Employment, Student Financial Services, EFS, RISD Store On-Line pickup, Office of Student Affairs, Health Services, 2nd Life, and Student Fitness Center.
How do I access QLess?
There are three ways to access the RISD queues in QLess:
