Call Forward: *4 + extension number – See detailed
Telephone Fowarding instructions for forwarding to an off campus phone or cell phone.
Cancel Call Forward: #4 – Cancels forwarding assignment.
Forward to Voicemail: *3 – Also called 'send-calls', forwards your extension directly to your voicemail box. Your phone's ring will change to one quick 'blip' before going to your mailbox.
Cancel Forward to Voicemail: #3 – Cancels the send-call feature. Calls will ring normally.
Call Waiting: *5 – Most analog phones on campus are programmed to send a call-waiting tone over the handset when you are on a call and a second call rings in. When you hear the call waiting tone in your ear, hit the 'flash' key. You will then hear a second dialtone (your first call is automatically placed on hold). From here, dial *5 to answer the second call. When you're finished, hit 'flash' again to be reconnected to your original call.
Transferring a Call: 'flash' key – While connected to a caller, hit the 'flash' key, dial the extension number you wish to transfer the call to, then hang up. Or if you prefer, after dialing the extension number you may wait until the person answers to announce your transfer before hanging up.
Hold: 'flash' key – Your flash key also doubles as a hold button. Simply hit the flash key and the person you're speaking with will be put on hold until you hit the flash key again to get them back.
